Meet the Fort Worth Team Behind Ironworks Gate Co.
We’ve been fixing and building gates across Fort Worth since 1984, and the trucks that roll out of our shop every morning are driven by people who live here, raise kids here, and know the difference between a sagging hinge in Wedgwood and a wind-beaten opener out in Haslet. Most of our crew has been with us for a decade or more. What unites them is simple: they treat every driveway like it belongs to their own mother, and they don’t consider a job finished until the gate closes square and the homeowner understands exactly what was done. These are the people you’ll see at your gate.
Our People
Marcus D. - Lead Technician
Marcus has been turning wrenches on gate automation since 2009, and he’s certified on all nine brands we service, from LiftMaster and FAAC to DoorKing and Mighty Mule. He’s the technician we send when a gate has stumped two other companies and the homeowner is about ready to park in the yard permanently. Marcus spent six years doing commercial access control before joining Ironworks, which means he’s the one tearing down a Viking control board without blinking. Off the clock, he rebuilds old Ford trucks in his Arlington garage and claims the wiring is relaxing.
Elena R. - Senior Installer
Elena leads our new installation work, from ornamental steel driveway gates to full estate packages with operators and safety edges. She started as a welder in 2012 and still runs a cleaner bead than anyone else on the crew, which matters when a Fort Worth homeowner wants custom scrollwork or a gate matched to an existing fence. Elena handles the onsite measurements for almost every installation we book, so if you get a written estimate for a new gate, there’s a good chance she was the one who walked the property. She’s also the reason our shop dog has a name, a bed, and a strict 3 p.m. treat schedule.
Dana K. - Service Coordinator
Dana is the voice on the phone when you call (817) 562-7979, and she’s been answering that line for nine years. She knows the service area the way a dispatcher should: she can tell you we’re finishing a job in Benbrook and can be in your Aledo driveway within the hour. Dana keeps the schedule honest and makes sure every customer gets an upfront price before a tech turns a single bolt. She’s also the one who catches the details, like a note that you have dogs in the yard or that your driveway is on a hill, so the tech arrives prepared. Outside of work, Dana runs the youth league volleyball program at her church in southwest Fort Worth.
Jesse T. - Apprentice Technician
Jesse joined us two years ago after finishing trade school, and he’s working through his brand certifications one at a time under Marcus’s direct supervision. He’s the second set of hands on most service calls, running diagnostics on gate loops, checking safety sensors, and learning the difference between a capacitor that’s tired and one that’s about to quit. Jesse grew up in the Stop Six neighborhood and came to us through a referral from his welding instructor, which says more about him than any resume would. He’s careful, he asks good questions, and he’s the reason our truck beds are always organized, whether the tech remembers to thank him or not.
One Standard, Every Job
Victor Salinas founded Ironworks Gate Co. in 1984 with a rule he’s never rewritten: if it’s not right, we come back and make it right. That’s not a slogan. It’s the Keystone Standard, and every technician on this page works under it, in writing, on every job. The 90-Day Done Right Promise means exactly what it says: no paperwork, no arguing, no exceptions. The 400th gate of the year gets the same care as the first one we ever hung. That’s the standard across our Fort Worth shop and every community we serve, from the cultural district to the county line. Victor still walks the shop floor most mornings, and he still answers to any customer who isn’t satisfied. The team wouldn’t have it any other way.
